Frequently Asked Questions

All the pottery sold by Baxter Creek Pottery is dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe, unless otherwise indicated. However, hand washing will prolong the life of any ceramics. Be aware of thermal shock when putting ceramics into the oven or microwave, or into the freezer.

Thermal Shock?
To avoid thermal shock, avoid sudden dramatic temperature changes. As with all ceramics, avoid thermal shock by not exposing your pottery to rapid temperature changes. Never put a plate from the fridge into the oven or microwave. Avoid putting a hot dish onto a cold counter, into a sink of cold water, or into the freezer.

Shipping Costs?
Shipping is charged based on an 8" by 8" box. If your order is significantly smaller or bigger than this, I may be in touch with you to either refund shipping costs, or let you know about extra shipping costs.

Shipping Times?
I'm a one-woman show, so please allow me 1-3 days to pack up your order and bring it to the post office. I will always try to be as quick as possible!

Local Pick Up?
If you select 'Local Pick Up' as your shipping option, I will be in contact about a date and time for you to come pick up your item(s).

Local Delivery?
For a $5 fee, you can have your items delivered! The items will be delivered within a few days of your order, please contact me if you have any specific delivery requests.

Sustainability and Packaging?
I prioritize re-using where possible (any plastic such as bubble wrap/packing peanuts used in my shipments are being reused and are never bought new). Otherwise, I pack with paper, and am investigating further sustainable packaging solutions.
